Step-By-Step Procedure for Sealer Treatment.

  1. Cut the stone to the required dimensions as one does before the installation.
  2. Clean the stone with normal tap water, if possible with a pressure jet so as to remove all dirt and debris which might have adhered to the surface.
  3. In case some dirt stains are not getting removed then use suitable cleaners to clean the surface.
  4. Allow the stone to dry up completely. This will take approximately 12-48 hours depending on the humidity conditions.
  5. Wipe the surface with a dry cloth and start applying the sealer with the help of a normal paint brush or with cotton cloth with strokes in single direction covering the surface uniformly as per the recommended coverage.
  6. Allow the stone surface to dry before doing the second application.
  7. After the second application allow the stone to dry again naturally. This time the stone will take a little longer time to dry up.
  8. Once it is seen that most of the surface has dried up but some parts still appear wet that means excess sealer has been applied in those parts. Clean of any excess sealer from the surface of the stone with the help of a dry cotton cloth.
  9. Keep the stone aside for curing, taking care no traffic on the stones should occur till the prescribed time limit.
  10. After, 24 hours the stones can be installed 24-72 hours testing can be done as indicated.
